Sugarloaf Mountain Summer Engagement

Right before Dominique and Ryan’s engagement, a huge storm rolled through the area. Just as I arrived at their beautiful home that is a gorgeous cabin tucked into the woods the sunlight radiated through the trees making the leftover rain dropping from the trees sparkle. We managed to get a chance to walk around their property with their three cute pups for a bit before heading to Sugarloaf Mountain to hike up for sunset.

Romantic Spring Wedding at Burlington Plantation

Jordan and Brody are one of those couples that clearly have a joyous effect on everyone in their lives. Their wedding day was filled friends, and family who had constant beaming smiles on their faces. Their love for all those around them and for Christ was clearly evident throughout the entire day.

That day, it was super hot but the clouds were moving at a steady pace creating shadows that would then transition into bright sun for their ceremony. The bright sunlight created a beautiful atmosphere and interesting strong light inside at Burlington Plantation speeches that brought laughter, as well as tears throughout the hall.

We got to sneak out for the most epic sunset photos that turned into dusk portraits under the lights.

Jordan and Brody are seriously such a sweet couple & the day was unforgettably carefree.

Woodsy Adventure Engagement at Great Falls State Park

Erin & Dillon and there sweet dog Rudy joined me at Great Falls State Park for a walk through the trails that run along the banks of the Potomac River. It was early spring and there was an overcast that evening creating a beautiful soft light for us up until dusk. It was a bit humid as we hiked around and captured the love & smiles between these two up until the moon made an appearance and we caught the last light during blue hour. We walked back in the dark just before they closed the gates to the park. These two have the absolute sweetest connection. They are having an April wedding in 2020 and I can’t wait to capture every moment of this sweet couple’s marriage next Spring.

Blue Ridge Mountain Farmhouse Bridal Portraits

When I arrived at Grace’s family home for her bridal portraits, her mother was helping her button the sleeves of the wedding dress that used to be her own. Her father was quick to grab a tarp to carry around as it was pretty muddy that day and we wanted to protect the dress before the wedding day. Their home and property was absolutely gorgeous. We walked through their fields to a pond and then back up the muddy hillside to this amazing barn in mid restoration when Grace threw on her dad’s hat for a few photos. This sweet family connection was the cutest thing ever. To end the session we caught the golden light just before it hid behing the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Bonneville Salt Flats Sunrise Engagement

After waking up at a crazy early hour, we arrived at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the dark before we could even really tell where we were going. Once the sun started to peak over the distant ridgeline we were thrilled by the view of the seemingly endless terrain. Fleet & Anthony put up with the freezing weather & ice cold winds for the entire session. To be honest my hands could barely press down on the shutter to snap these images. But, these views are incomparable and we had to whole place to ourselves. Definitely one of my favorite adventure engagement sessions to date.

Moab Sunrise Elopement Inspiration

In November when I found out I’d be visiting one the top destinations on my bucket list I knew I had to shoot there. We got up before the sun to meet with these two best friends to catch the orange glow of the sunrise over the canyon lands. With the icy mountaintops of the La Sal Mountains as a backdrop & the burnt orange dirt, I was in straight up heaven. We adventured around to snag these incredible views. It felt like we had left earth and were walking on Mars for the morning.
